The Antwerp three piece, vocalist/guitarist Ruben Block, drummer Mario Goossens and bassist Paul Van Bruystegem, are set to show there is more to Belgium than, um, waffles. In much the same way as counterparts dEUS and Millionaire, Triggerfinger create a diverse and compelling amalgam of influences – in Triggerfingers case; alternative rock, blues, stoner riffs and garage rock sensibilities.
“All This Dancin’ Around” shows a band at the height of their powers. From the infectious staccato vocals of opening track and lead single “All This Dancin’ Around Again” to the stoner style riffing of “Let It Ride”, from brooding melancholy of “Love Lost In Love” to the smoky, minimalist drawl of “All Night Long”, this is an album that constantly surprises. Tight rhythms, inventive guitar hooks and melodies that seep into your consciousness. The album was recorded at Los Angeles Sound City Studios with producer Greg Gordon (Oasis, Slayer, Soulwax).
“All This Dancin’ Around” is the bands third album to be released in Belgium – and went Gold when released in Nov 2010. The band are one of the key alternative acts in Belgium – playing to sell out crowds in Benelux and recently picking up two awards at the Belgium Music Industry Awards (Best Band and Best Musician for drummer Mario Goossens).
Triggerfinger are a huge live draw in their home country and have built a fearsome live reputation. The band (booked by Paul Bolton @ X-Ray Touring – Queens Of the Stone Age, Mars Volta, Gallows) are set to play the UK & Europe throughout 2011.
